I will stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be shown live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two time world title holder Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British rival Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

However, the novice continues to be one of boxing's largest financial successes, regularly earning huge earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the customary stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually happening.
